Greetings Resistor ,

Big shoutout to Ann Colloton and Dominique Harris of the Georgia Justice Project for teaching us about voting post felony at our last General Meeting.

A bigger shout out goes to those individuals who were forthcoming at our first First Friday and Augusta Market GA State Day of Action events. When we asked if they were registered to vote, they were honest and responded, "I can't". Their honesty sent us down that rabbit hole, where in searching for information we found the GJP.

Now it's time to share what we learned along with so much more this Saturday, at our second GA State Day of Action: See You At The Ballot Box. Scroll below for the deets.

09/26/26 Local Action: GA State Day of Action

See You At The Ballot Box

Come out this Saturday and help educate our community on voting access in GA & SC. We have zines, postcards, and petitions, oh my! The number of folks who enthusiastically responded at our last tabling there was heartening; people WANT to vote. Plus it's a fun day by the river with lots of vendors and some alligators.

We're offering shifts for volunteers, so pick your preferred time whether that's the entire day or a couple of hours. If you can't come out to play but want to help we could use bottled water, bags of ice, or $$ towards the booth rental and supplies. Hit us up through Signal, Facebook, Discord, or [email protected] to connect for donation drop-offs.

10/08/26 Local Action: Save The Date

We have a local action in the planning stages and we need vetted volunteers*!

What's a 50501 Augusta Vetted Volunteer? Good question, glad you asked.

A FFO AUG VV is a Resistor who wants to help plan and carry out an event or action from the beginning AND has met virtually or IRL with the Borg aka our Co Leads along with filing a 50501 GA Volunteer Agreement. That agreement form covers all our VVs under the 50501 GA 501(c)(4) protections since 50501 Augusta became an official chapter earlier this year.

With all the nuttiness that the current regime is churning out, the signed agreement is vitally important to the wellbeing of our organization as we continue to hold the line against authoritarianism, government overreach, and the erosion of our civil and human rights!

Click the link below to become vetted.

When: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Where: TBA

*You do NOT need to be a FFO AUG Vetted Volunteer to only ATTEND our actions and events! This is for those who want to help PLAN and CARRY OUT our actions and events.
