Our rally is part of Unite for Veterans. Unite for America. - a nationwide mobilization of veteran and ally organizations with the mission of defending veterans' rights and benefits earned through service to our country. This is expected to be the largest coordinated veterans protest in the history of the United Sates.
The mobilization is modeled after the Bonus Army protests which took place in the Summer of 1932. During this time, tens of thousands of World War I veterans peacefully descended with their families on Washington, D.C. Those vets had one simple demand: that America honor the promise it made to them for their wartime service. At the height of the Great Depression, their promised bonuses were slashed by budget cuts. Facing hunger, homelessness, and despair, the Bonus Army rallied - determined to fight for the dignity they had earned on the battlefield.
Sounds familiar, doesn't it? This D-Day, the 2025 Bonus Army will march again, peacefully, across our nation - this time to:
- Defend veteran employment in the federal workforce.
 - Stop the privatization and weakening of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
 - Protect our institutions by holding leaders accountable for policies that harm veterans and their families.
