50501 Augusta Happenings: June 13 Immigration Advocacy
Jun 09, 2026 9:01 am
Greetings Resistor ,
As another CSRA citizen has been detained by ICE, this time after a traffic violation today, Monday June 8, our upcoming discussion this Saturday becomes more poignant. Even though what we see in our area looks vastly different than the violent occupations in other states we still need to organize and build community to keep our neighbors safe. Join us and experts engaged in the work currently to discuss how we can accomplish just that.
6/13/26 Local Action: Immigration Advocacy
Our goal at this event is to discuss and plan what involvement in grassroots activism, community connection, and immigrant advocacy should look like. Join us to be a part of our conversation and team!
We are lucky to have panelists with experience building these community defense networks in their own areas, including community organizers from Aiken Unido, GLAHR - Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights, and SPLC - Southern Poverty Law
*Online participation will be available.*
We'll enjoy refreshments from local panadería and tiendas.
When: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta
3501 Walton Way Ext., Augusta 30909
